Unichip Europe has announced the launching of a new performance boosting U-Connect piggy back Unichip upgrade for the four-wheel drive 148bhp Subaru Impreza 2.0 Diesel.

The Unichip, which includes a specially premapped edition of the famous piggy back ECU, enables slight electronic tweaks to the cars fuelling and advance settings to improve the versatile performance while keeping its reliability and efficiency.

This upgrade was designed as a do-it-yourself fitment through the high-class plug and play U-Connect wiring loom. The Unichip can be installed or removed in just a few minutes. The device is electronically invisible to the primary dealerships during servicing and only Unichip agents are allowed to remap it.

Extensive tests proved that the new Unichipped 2.0 Impreza Diesel adds a remarkable 17bhp and 36lb.ft of torque to the capacity of the standard vehicle. It can bring the car to an overall performance of 168bhp, combined with a powerful 292lb.ft of torque in only 2500rpm.

This additional performance provides considerably enhanced driver satisfaction and easy overtaking that make both long and short journeys more pleasurable. Furthermore, the feature does not affect the fuel efficiency of Impreza. Actual testing showed that the Unichip U-Connect package has no impact on the economy of the car. In fact, drivers reported a 5-10% fuel consumption improvement of Impreza with Unichip compared to the standard car.

The new Unichip U-Connect package carries the part number PPSUB11.0 and only costs 465.30 Pounds including 17.5 Percent value-added tax. The Unichip only takes minutes to be fitted. It is now directly available at Unichip Europe.
