Used Mazda6 may suit caravan owners
24 September 2009Drivers looking for a used auto that makes pulling a mobile home look simple may want to consider a model from Mazda.
The Mazda6 estate has been named best in its class at the Caravan Club Towcar of the Year 2010 awards.
Entered in the £20,000-to-£25,000 category, the vehicle was praised by judges as being a great auto at a competitive price.
They stated the model was a worthy winner, with an impressive six-speed gearbox, flexible engine and lots of low-down torque.
Commenting on the vehicle's pulling abilities, they added: "Towing 1,347 kg, the good-looking estate car romped up the long 14 per cent hill in third gear and tackled a 17 per cent stop and restart quite easily."
A new version of the auto costs £20,170, but drivers may be able to save money by opting for a used Mazda6.
Meanwhile, the manufacturer recently unveiled a special edition of the MX-5 at the Frankfurt International Motor Show to celebrate the model's 20th anniversary.
