Used Alfa Romeo models may be plentiful in coming years
07 October 2009
Alfa Romeo has reported strong sales figures for September.
The number of used Alfa Romeo models entering the market in the coming years may not be too badly affected by the recession, if new figures are anything to go by.According to the manufacturer, September sales of autos straight off the production line were strong.
So far this year, volumes are 40.4 per cent higher than for the same period last year.
Meanwhile, September witnessed a 148.5 per cent growth in new registrations - with 2,000 models delivered to UK customers.
The Alfa MiTo proved to be the most popular of the Italian marque's models.
UK sales director Andrew Sproston said: "The hard work and investment we have put into the restructure of this iconic brand is now starting to pay off."
In other news, the manufacturer introduced two new Euro 5-compliant engine options to the Alfa 159 range in August.
These units are also due to be made available for the Alfa Spider and Alfa Brera later this year.
