Used Chevrolet Aveo may save drivers money at the pump

The Chevrolet Aveo has achieved 59.71 mpg in the MPG Marathon.
Motorists looking for a used car that could save them money at the pump may want to consider a model from Chevrolet.The Aveo 1.2S has just achieved 59.71 mpg in the annual MPG Marathon - a 16 per cent improvement over its official capability of 51.4 mpg.
Driven by 17-year-old learner Joe Durkin, the auto covered 360 miles during the event.
The MPG Marathon was originally set up to demonstrate the benefits of adopting eco-friendly habits behind the wheel.
Mr Durkin is the youngest-ever competitor.
The apprentice marine engineer explained what motivated him to take part in the challenge.
He stated: "I wanted to prove that not all young drivers are irresponsible and careless."
Chevrolet claimed the Aveo is particularly well suited to less mature motorists as it boasts low running costs.
Commenting on the model, Mr Durkin stated: "It's a really smart car."
Youngsters may find a used version of the auto is particularly kind to their pocket.
