Used Skodas: owners can get checks
19 January 2010
Drivers of used Skodas can have their vehicles checked over for free.
Skoda is offering a free winter check for all its customers as the British big freeze starts to thaw.Owners of new and second-hand Skodas can now take their vehicles in for assessments of elements such as the battery, tyres and coolant to water ratio.
Skoda explained that damage can be caused by cold spells, such as wiper blades ripping after being frozen to the windscreen.
Batteries can fail as they have to work harder to overcome lower temperatures and greater heating requirements.
Additionally, the grit and salt used on roads may damage cars, while tyres could be worn if they skidded on ice.
Skoda recently celebrated after getting three titles at the What Car? Awards.
The Yeti was named the best buy crossover for less than £15,000, while the Superb was the best buy family car under £17,000.
Skoda completed its hat-trick with the Octavia Estate, deemed the best buy estate for under £16,000.
