Used Vauxhalls: Brand sales are up

Vauxhall has posted a year-on-year rise in December sales.
The number of Vauxhalls sold in December 2009 was 54 per cent higher than in the corresponding period for 2008.Vauxhall's sales data also showed that December 2009 was a better month than December 2007.
In total, 18,884 retail sales were made in 2009's final quarter.
This is 53 per cent more than in the last three months of 2008.
Retail sales director Rory Harvey said that the new Astra had played a key part in improving sales, as well as the Corsa.
"We're looking forward to building on this success in 2010," he commented.
Another brand pleased with its performance in 2009 is Nissan, which grew its fleet market share by 0.5 per cent.
It moved up one place in the list of popular brands for company cars, reaching the seventh spot with 35,236 sales to fleets in the UK.
Fleet sales in 2008 totalled 38,399 but Nissan still bettered its market share as fleet sales in the sector fell.
