Vauxhall Zafira improves eco-friendliness with diesel engine
17 March 2009Used car vans looking for an MPV that is also environmentally-friendly may wish to consider the option of a Vauxhall Zafira.
Vauxhall is using a new 1.7-litre advanced diesel engine in its Zafira, meaning that the vehicle will reduce its combined CO2 emissions to 139g/km.
The vehicle also offers motorists longer-lasting fuel for their money, with a driver now able to achieve 53.3 miles to the gallon.
This means that it is possible for a motorist to complete 680 miles on a single tank of fuel, while also paying just £120 each year in Vehicle Excise Duty.
Furthermore, safety is high on the agenda in the seven-seater, as the MPV features six full-size airbags alongside an anti-locking braking system.
Other features of the vehicle including the fitting of a radio/CD player as standard, while five trim levels can chosen by a motorist.
A review of the Vauxhall Zafira MPV by What Car? highlighted that the quality and reliability of the vehicle is "dependable", while the ride and handling is "firm, but fun to drive".
