Volkswagen BlueMotion greenest Golf yet

Volkswagen's new BlueMotion is its greenest Golf yet, according to the manufacturer.
Used Volkswagen drivers may be interested to learn that the manufacturer has launched what it calls its greenest Golf yet.The Golf BlueMotion is reportedly the firm's most fuel-efficient car to date, producing 74.3 mpg and carbon emissions of 99 g/km.
Among its fuel-saving features is the Start/Stop system, hill hold, longer gear ratios, regenerative breaking and low-rolling resistance tyres.
In addition, a multifunction computer recommends gear changes for the driver in order to achieve optimum fuel efficiency.
It utilises the Golf's standard 1.6-litre TDI common rail engine, which has 105 PS and a maximum torque of 250 Nm.
Furthermore, it can go from zero to 62 mph in 11.3 seconds, reaching a top speed of 118 mph, which may satisfy motorists' need for speed.
In terms of appearance, the auto is fitted with a sports styling kit, which improves its aerodynamics as well as making it stand out from the Volkswagen crowd.
Meanwhile, Richard Hammond recently described the engine in the new Volkswagen Polo as a "cracker".
