VW Up! Lite concept revealed

Volkswagen has unveiled its new Up! Lite concept car.
Volkswagen unveiled its new Up! Lite concept at the Los Angeles Motor Show recently, which may please used car drivers who have been waiting to catch a glimpse of the new auto.According to the manufacturer, the auto sets a new bar in terms of economy and efficiency.
Capable of seating four adults, the motor can travel 115.7 miles on one gallon of fuel and emits 65 g/km of CO2.
Many of the car's features contribute to its efficiency, the carmaker claimed. However, one of the more significant is the fact that it weighs only 695 kg.
It also employs the firm's Start-Stop system that enables regenerative breaking and is seen in the range of BlueMotion models that were released recently.
Achieving 88 lbs/ft torque, the 800 cc two-cylinder common rail diesel engine is combined with an electric motor that gives the car "a little boost" when overtaking.
Alternatively, it can be disengaged from the main engine, to be used for low speed manoeuvres.
In other news that may be of interest to used Volkswagen drivers, the Polo was recently named Car of the Year 2010.
