Which? Car magazine has named Kia Picanto as the most reliable new car in the UK.
According to its annual reliability survey, the Picanto, with reliability score of 98.1%, has beaten established rivals from European and Japanese brands to scoop this real-life reliability award.
"You don't expect a new car to go wrong - but our rigorous research shows there's a big difference between the best and worst. Some small cars, particularly Korean and Japanese superminis, run like clockwork. Whereas some bigger cars, which you might expect to be more robust, aren't all they're cracked up to be", said Peter Vicary-Smith, CEO of Which?.
"We at Kia know that Picanto is a great car and this feedback shows how dependable it is", commented Michael Cole, managing director at Kia Motors UK.
"To receive this praise at this stage of its life is confirmation of our efforts to deliver high quality products to our customers at a fair price - something we shall continue to do in the future".
The Picanto has been the top selling model of Kia since it was launched in the UK. And since the start of the year, all Kia models also come with a generous manufacturer-backed seven year warranty.
The Picanto range is priced from £7,290 OTR for the 1.0 '1' version up to £9.295 OTR for the Picanto 2 Auto version. Kia currently has two new Domino special edition models available in dealer showrooms across the country featuring exclusive equipment lists and colour schemes with great value prices starting at £7,795 OTR.
