Autoweb Author

Ray Castle

Ray Castle started writing for Autoweb in early 2012. He’s the brains behind our Car Clinic, drawing on almost two decades of motor journalism to share expert know-how on buying, selling and owning. He also picks the cars and writes the words for autoweb.co.uk’s Caught in the Classifieds feature.

Ray spent four years on the staff at What Car? magazine before going it alone as a freelance. He kept the link with Britain’s best car buying publication, editing the Helpdesk section and much more. During that time he also wrote for the Sunday Times, the Sunday Express, the Guardian, Top Gear online, Autocar and even Practical Caravan.

He has also spent a three-year stint as editor for motors.co.uk. Currently, apart from writing for Autoweb, he also edits Auto Retail Agenda, a weekly e-publication for car retail bosses.
