Peugeot Onyx
The Peugeot Onyx was revealed in 2012 to showcase the ideas of Peugeot's design team. This crazy good looking concept weighed just 1,100kg with a power-to-weight ratio of 545bhp per tonne. Key to the lack of weight was the materials used for the interior, which included squashed newspapers and recycled felt. The strangest part? The Peugeot Onyx was powered by a diesel engine, but not just any diesel engine, it had a 3.7-litre 600 horsepower V8 diesel engine.
