R222 Carnauba Wax
Price: Around £30 for 175g.
First place on our list of the best car waxes goes to R222 (formally P21s). This is a carnauba car wax that's priced much lower than it really should be and it's also one of the easiest to apply. It comes with a sponge applicator and the paste-like wax is easy to work into paintwork and easy to rub off once dry. If you're in a rush, you don't even need to wait for it to haze - it'll come off with a micro-fibre cloth when wet.
Without any doubt, the best thing about R222 Carnauba Wax is the finish it offers. On white, red, grey and black paintwork, it produces a deep liquid shine and on blue, green, and yellow cars, it produces a hard shell look.
Like all carnauba waxes, R222 offers excellent beading and weather protection.
The only downside to this car wax is that it will only give an impressive shine for around a month and it works best when applied bi-weekly. Therefore, R222 is recommended as a summer wax, so if you plan on using it during wetter months bear in mind you will need to wax your ride every few weeks. If that doesn't sound great, entry #2 is a good compromise.
