Jaguar XF Sportbrake 5.0 V8 XFR-S
The Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake is one of the best performance-orientated family estates on the market in my opinion. What it lacks in German quality it more than makes up for in British luxury, with a fine chassis that's tuned to soak up every rough surface you throw at it yet stay rigid when on the limit. The XFR-S is powered by a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that produces a thumping 542 bhp and 502 lb /ft of torque. It's good for 0 - 62 mph in 4.8 seconds and show it a long enough stretch of road it'll lick 186 mph. Power is sent to the rear wheels and the steering set up in the XFR-S is sublime offering lots of feel.
With such stonking performance, you should definitely own a Sportbrake XFR-S. If you're also looking for something the family can all jump in, you'll be pleased to know the XF has a 549-litre boot that can be extended to 1,675-litres and more equipment than you can shake a stick at. Slow down and change up early, and the XFR-S will even return a potential 22.2 miles per gallon combined. That might not sound too great, but when you consider the performance on offer a compromise has to be made somewhere.
