Five of the Best Super Estates

Audi RS6 Avant

Audi RS6 Avant

The Audi RS6 Avant is an utter monster. It's powered by a  4.2-litre twin-turbo V8 that kicks out a ridiculous 552 bhp and 517 lb /ft of torque. With Quattro all-wheel-drive as standard and launch control built-in, the RS5 Avant will sprint from 0 - 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds and surge on to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. Because the dual-clutch auto feeds power to all four wheels, all of this power is usable no matter the weather, too, which means you'll be able to smash M5's at the lights year in, year out. No other estate on the market offers this much power and usability.

It has a big boot too - a 565-litre boot, to be exact, that can be extended to 1,680-litres of space by folding the rear seats flat. Audi also claims you can achieve 28.8 miles per gallon on a combined cycle and unlike the C63 Estate, tax isn't in supercar territory - the RS6 will cost you £485 per year with its CO2 rating of 229 g/km.

Overall, the Audi RS6 is the ultimate super estate on the market right now. There is no M5 Touring on the horizon just yet but if one ever gets released that will be the RS6's main competition. With Quattro, though, I suspect the RS6 Avant will still kill it in a drag race.
