Vauxhall. Exciting. Can you really put those two words together? In recent years, Vauxhall has made a fine attempt at putting the cool back into their brand with the likes of the Astra GTC VXR and the latest Insignia VXR. This year, though, it's all about the Monza concept which has recently been tested by The Telegraph. What did they think of it? They thought it was very interesting.
The Monza is a four-seat sports car that's seriously good looking with a number of unique and innovative technologies, such as a projected dashboard. Interestingly, the Monza was for the most part designed in Germany before being built in Italy, so it's got the right ingredients to be a seriously good car.
Although it's only a concept right now, the drivetrain isn't - it uses the same battery and petrol engine generator as the current Vauxhall Ampera. There is also an option to run the engine on compressed natural gas. There isn't really much else to say about the Monza, other than it has all of the right ingredients to live on in other future production cars. A Vauxhall sports car that looks anything like this would be a very interesting proposition and an RCZ eater that's for sure.
