Renault Clio V6 Phase 1
The Renault Clio V6 is not a hot hatch. It's an exotic, and on car games, it sits amongst machines which cost thousands of pounds more.
The Phase 1 Clio V6 is the successor to the Renault 5 Turbo, and although it is based on the Clio MK II, it shares barely any of the same internals. It is in fact a car in its own right. Initially the car was developed with a V8 engine but due to emissions, this was scaled down to a V6 engine, with the production car featuring 223 bhp and 222 lb /ft of torque. Despite the large engine, the V6 actually didn't accelerate much faster than the Clio 172, due in part to the Clio V6's huge weight. It also cornered less admirably and was thirsty.
The result of this was bad sales. The Clio V6 ended its production run in 2005 after the phase 2 and there has not been a new one since.
The jury is still out on whether the Clio V6 is beautiful or hideous. We think it's beautiful.
